Timber Baron Contracting (2013) Ltd. (TBC) is currently operating under its second five-year term contract with the Terrace Community Forest (TCF), delivering full-phase logging and commercial thinning services in support of sustainable forest management objectives. TBC’s scope of work includes all aspects of harvesting operations, from planning support through to execution, as well as ongoing road construction and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable access to active harvesting areas.
On an annual basis, TBC upgrades an average of 5–10 kilometres of forest service roads (FSRs) and in-block access roads for TCF. These upgrades are completed to support safe, efficient hauling operations, improve long-term access, and meet operational and environmental standards required for sustainable forestry practices.
Timber Baron works closely and collaboratively with TCF on commercial thinning projects within the forest licence area located near Terrace, British Columbia. TBC is responsible for end-to-end operations, including harvesting, processing, and hauling of timber, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with TCF’s stewardship goals.
As the Terrace Community Forest is a non-profit organization, revenues generated through forestry operations are reinvested directly back into the local community. Timber Baron is proud to support a model where responsible forest management contributes not only to long-term resource sustainability, but also to funding for local organizations and community initiatives throughout the region.
